The Panelists

Maxwell Hoffmann is a content strategist with a strong background in localization, globalization, Search Engine Optimization and technical documentation. He has provided hands-on training to over 1,500 people in scalable, multi-channel publishing solutions. He also has 15 years of experience in globalization/localization of intelligent content. Hoffmann is a periodic author of technical “how to” articles for industry journals and is also a frequent presenter at content marketing and intelligent content events. He is currently “between assignments” (e.g. looking for a job!) and resides in Portland, Oregon.

Richard Mateosian began a fifteen year career as a computer programmer while still working on his PhD in mathematics at UC Berkeley. He followed that with a ten year career as a technical marketer and then his current career as a technical writer specializing in documentation for highly technical audiences. He has written a regular column in IEEE Micro, reviewing technical books and software, since 1987 and is a member of the IEEE Computer Society’s Golden Core. He has done extensive volunteer work with the Society for Technical Communication (STC). He has been a chapter president, a competition manager, and a member of Society-level committees, including the Community Affairs Committee (CAC). In 2011, STC awarded him the honor of Fellow.

Yvonne Wade Sanchez is an award-winning writer, editor, and designer with experience in content strategy, information architecture, e-learning development, user experience (UX), learner experience (LX), and curriculum design. In my 20+ years of industry experience, I have analyzed the needs of target audiences and designed, developed, and delivered products that support knowledge acquisition, knowledge sharing, and end-user performance.
