SAN JOSE, CA. – February 1, 2004 – Single-Sourcing Solutions, Inc, is excited to announce the launch of a new consulting services company focused on Arbortext software and customer enablement. Single-Sourcing Solutions will assist new customers who are getting started with a complex set of new technology and skills.
“We have found that people who learn Arbortext are premium resources to their companies. There are very few Arbortext specialists who are unattached consultants," said Elizabeth Fraley, CEO, Single-Sourcing Solutions. "Nearly everyone who knows the product well either works for Arbortext Inc or they work for a customer who has purchased and made a big investment in the product and every new customer has to grow a specialist from scratch."
Single-Sourcing Solutions was organized to help in-house teams learn to do it themselves by providing an on-call resource that can assist as necessary. They will teach people how to do document analysis and act as a jump-start team, doing initial stylesheet development or tool implementation with the intention to hand it over to the in-company team as soon as they feel ready to take it over.
"Our approach is to provide honest, direct advice — and just the right amount of assistance — to take new Arbortext customers from purchase to production," said Fraley. "Consultants play a part similar to that of the journeymen of the guild systems: they often travel a lot, work at many different companies and spread new practices and knowledge between companies and corporations. Our goal here is to is to expand the resources available to everyone in the community."
